So, how does 1-on-1 tutoring work at BLIJLES?

You can sign up for tutoring with BLIJLES within 10 minutes through BLIJ PORTAAL, our proprietary tutoring tracking system.
You fill in your personal data, and answer our personal questionnaire, which we developed together with several universities to always find a suitable tutoring teacher based on expectations, character traits, interests and personal preferences!
BLIJLES Match
We always try to match you with a suitable, experienced tutoring teacher within a few business days.
We will contact you if we need more information. When we have found a suitable, experienced tutoring teacher, you will receive an email contact information and a payment request!
Tutoring at BLIJLES
Your tutoring instructor will contact you as soon as possible to get acquainted and to schedule an initial tutoring hour.
It is very important that you get along well, because you will most likely be working together for a longer period of time. You will always have personal contact with your tutoring teacher, BLIJLES is responsible for good communication and the quality of the tutoring hours.

We believe it is important to be transparent about our rates for 1-on-1 tutoring.
One tutoring hour is not a tutoring hour. That is why BLIJLES only offers tutoring packages of 5, 10 or 15 tutoring hours. More information about our rules can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions page!

Tutoring at BLIJLES is more than just doing an hour of homework together. You build rapport with your tutoring students and have personal conversations. "How are you doing?" sometimes means more than a higher grade in English or math.
More than a tutoring company
BLIJLES was founded by students Max Uphoff and Jesper van Loon in 2019. Since then, BLIJLES has grown into a large, socially engaged tutoring company for and by young people.
Collaborations
To make tutoring, or other forms of extra support, accessible to every student, we partner with several elementary and secondary schools and community organizations.
About BLIJLES
Our core values are inspiration, motivation and development. We don't believe in high fees and meaningless promises such as higher grades or guaranteed success. Tutoring is more than an hour of homework together, it's attention!

We believe that tutoring is an indispensable part of the education system. Classes are becoming increasingly crowded and good teaching staff are scarce. Not every student gets the attention he, she or they need. Tutoring can be the solution. Besides the fact that our enthusiastic tutors can help you with all school subjects at all levels, they are also there to have personal conversations with. "How are you doing?" sometimes means more than a high grade in math, economics or physics.
Our prices
Educational services, including tutoring, are exempt from VAT. Our enthusiastic tutoring teachers come to the student's home or to the school. In consultation, tutoring hours can be scheduled when it is most convenient for the tutor and the student, for example, during a gap hour or at the weekend.

We always try to match a suitable tutor within a few business days. We often contact you in advance if we need more information. Through BLIJ PORTAAL we quickly see which matching tutors are available. If there is a match, we will send you a payment request.
