Our vision
BLIJLES believes that good education is not a luxury. Our goal is to make tutoring and guidance accessible and affordable, regardless of the student's background. We not only help young people improve their grades, but above all build self-confidence and grow to their full potential. This happens both at school and outside of school.
How did we start?
BLIJLES originated from a simple but powerful idea: real help by and for young people. The founders, Max Uphoff and Jesper van Loon, tutored their classmates during their own school days. That is where the need for personal, tailor-made support arose.
When Max came of age, he registered the company with the Chamber of Commerce. Jesper was added later when he also came of age. BLIJLES has since grown into a market player in education in the Bollenstreek, Midden-Holland, and Haarlemmermeer regions.
What started small in the schoolyard has grown into a tutoring organization that now supports hundreds of students.

BLIJLES is a movement where young people grow by helping others grow.
Self-confidence
BLIJLES was not founded just to get the report card up. We make young people feel what learning can do for them. For their self-confidence and future.
Energy
We believe that if you go for something fully, it will succeed. Not automatically, without effort or without help. But then, after hard work, that magical moment comes: 'I got this!'
Attention
Attention is fuel. Successes, big or small, should always be celebrated. There is room to share, laugh together, make mistakes and learn from them.
Sustainability
We believe it is important to assess our impact on people and the environment and are happy to be at the forefront of this development.
