How is the match made between a student and teacher?
First, we look at your wishes and needs: which subject do you need help with, at what level, and what would you like to achieve? You can let us know by submitting your request in the BLIJ Portal, our own administration system. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to fill in.
Once we have received your application, we will call the parent or guardian to discuss what the child needs.
We will search for a suitable tutor. When making the match, we pay attention to the tutor's experience, availability, and personality, so that there is a good connection.
Once we have found a suitable match, you will receive an email with the tutor's details. The tutor will then contact you or your parent(s)/guardian(s) within three working days to introduce themselves and arrange the first lessons.

Where does the tutoring take place?
Tutoring takes place at home or online. This can be completely tailored to the student's wishes and the teacher's availability.
What does online tutoring look like?
During our online tutoring sessions, students have a one-on-one video call with an enthusiastic teacher. They work together in the same document, complete assignments, and the student receives immediate explanations and feedback. Highly personalized, flexible, and accessible from anywhere.
Can my child also get help with homework or planning?
Tutoring can also focus on proper planning. Our tutors have the expertise to help students do this effectively.
What if a teacher is not a good fit?
A good match is very important to us. Should it still not click, we will gladly look further with you for another solution.
How soon can tutoring start?
Depending on supply and demand, we aim to contact the parent and/or caregiver within three business days.
How do I request tutoring?
Applying for tutoring is easy online through our application form. You fill in your child's details, choose the subject or support needed and indicate the times at which tutoring is desired.
We will then contact you to find a suitable match together.
How is the right tutor selected?
A suitable tutor is selected based on the information you have entered in our BLIJ portal. Depending on your learning needs, we will look at which tutor is available.

How often does tutoring take place?
At BLIJLES, you have complete freedom to determine how often the tutoring sessions are given. Our packages are flexible and can be tailored to the schedules of both the student and the tutor. Most students opt for weekly tutoring, but more or less frequent sessions are also possible.
