Lisanne is a passionate and ambitious law student at VU University Amsterdam. Three years ago, she started working as a tutor and intern at BLIJLES. Today, she combines her studies with her work as a tutor and her role as Partnership Manager at BLIJLES.
Her tutoring journey began on Facebook, and after a brief stint in the hospitality industry, she rediscovered her true passion at BLIJLES. Teaching and working at BLIJLES not only bring her fulfillment but have also given her the opportunity to advance to a management position within the organization.
In her role as Collaboration Manager, Lisanne is responsible for coordinating various projects, such as exam preparation, support classes, and tutoring in collaboration with various high schools. In addition, she conducts job interviews with new teachers and maintains contact with students’ parents. She particularly values the responsibility and flexibility, which allow her to perfectly balance her work with her other activities.
In addition to her studies and work, sports play an important role in Lisanne’s life. She plays field hockey for the Women’s Junior 1 team at De Kikkers, a team that is also sponsored by BLIJLES! Sports serve as an outlet for her and provide the perfect balance after a busy week. Lisanne has learned a great deal from her experience at BLIJLES.
As a tutor, she sees her students’ confidence grow, which gives her great satisfaction. She has also discovered how to explain difficult topics clearly, a skill that comes in handy in her studies. Her work as a manager has helped her take responsibility and make important decisions—skills that will serve her well in her future career as a judge.
